developing Spiritual Resilience

Helping people develop spiritual resilience, discern wisely, and remain grounded through suffering, uncertainty, emotional exhaustion, and life’s deeper challenges.

When life becomes heavy...

There are seasons in life that test us deeply.

Moments marked by:

  • suffering

  • uncertainty

  • emotional exhaustion

  • spiritual confusion

  • bodily weakness or illness

  • difficult decisions

  • loss of direction or inner stability

In these moments, many people quietly ask: “Where is God in all of this?”

Yet Christian spirituality reminds us that weakness is not necessarily the absence of God. As St. Paul writes: “When I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

Discernment Edge exists to accompany people through life’s difficult seasons and help them discover spiritual resilience, discern God’s presence more deeply, and learn how divine strength can emerge even within weakness, suffering, and uncertainty.

Accompanying Others in Discernment and Spiritual Resilience

I’m Veronica, and I offer Catholic spiritual accompaniment rooted in Ignatian spirituality, discernment, and spiritual resilience.

After serious health challenges and multiple surgeries reshaped my life, I began searching more deeply for how a person can remain faithful, grounded, and attentive to God during suffering and uncertainty.

Through this journey, I discovered that resilience is not about pretending to be strong. It is about learning how to remain open to God’s presence even within weakness, limitation, and difficult seasons of life.

Alongside my lived experience, I pursued theological formation, completing a master’s degree in theology and continuing doctoral research focused on spiritual resilience and the Christian spiritual tradition.

Today, through spiritual direction, writing, and teaching, I accompany individuals and communities seeking deeper discernment, greater spiritual clarity, and a more resilient life of faith.

My work brings together prayerful practice, Catholic spirituality, and academic research to support those navigating life’s physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges.
